Venture Stream to Appear on BBC’s The One Show

Lights, camera, action  – we’re set to make our TV debut on BBC’s The One Show!

We announced in September that we were going to begin trialling a four day work week for three months, and we’re super excited to say that the result of that trial will be revealed exclusively on The One Show.

Set to air tonight, the four minute segment focuses on the benefits of the four day week, with several members of our team speaking to presenter Matt Allwright about their own experiences and how they’re making use of that extra day off. 

We were first approached back in December by one of the UK’s leading regional production companies, Freeform Productions, as a result of being featured in the 4 Day Week Campaign’s accreditation scheme. 

Towards the end of the film, catch our Chief Commercial Officer, James Chapman’s announcement to find out whether the four day week will be made permanent. 

“When we were first approached by the Freeform team, we were of course a little nervous about the idea of appearing on national television, but jumped at the chance to talk about the success of our four day work week,” comments James.

“We’re a relatively small business in the North East of England, so we’re absolutely thrilled to be able to reach such a large audience to talk about the importance of prioritising staff wellbeing and promoting a better work/life balance.”

The One Show is a popular magazine programme featuring topical stories and big name studio guests. The studio section is co-hosted by Alex Jones, Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating. 

With a UK trial of the four day work week recently being announced, plus other European countries such as Iceland making the switch, there has been a lot of media attention on the topic in recent months.  We’re very proud to be able to share our own experience on such a large platform.
