Venture Stream Makes Four New Hires During Lockdown

July 21, 2020

We’re thrilled to announce that Venture Steam has hired and onboarded four new members of staff during lockdown, bringing our full-time team to 23.

As Venture Stream continues to grow, we’re joined by four new members of staff across our digital marketing, creative and website development departments.

Liam Cottrell joins us as Frontend Developer from one of Shopify’s biggest e-commerce partners, with a strong background in full-stack website development for fashion, beauty and luxury lifestyle brands, having begun his career at retail giant Superdrug.

Joining us from Pink Boutique, Emily Crosby is welcomed to the team as PR & Content Executive, with just under three years of experience in content writing, SEO and e-commerce across the fashion and online gaming sectors.

Ruth Ayling joins us as Creative Designer from Seen and Heard, with over ten years of experience in digital and print design, having previously worked with prominent North East publications such as Living North.

Previously an apprentice at Refract, Martin Black joins the team as a Digital Marketing Apprentice to help assist with various SEO and Outreach efforts. He’s gained valuable experience across PPC, SEO and offline marketing channels after completing a degree in Marketing and Business Management at Northumbria University.

We know that the lockdown imposed due to Covid-19 was, and continues to be, challenging for many businesses and we’re very pleased to have been in a position to expand in such a difficult climate.

Commenting on the four new appointments, James Chapman, Chief Commercial Officer at Venture Stream says: “While many businesses have struggled over the lockdown period, at Venture Stream we have managed to maintain a good flow of business thanks in no small part to our dedicated team and fantastic reputation.

“We feel very fortunate that our business has continued to grow over this testing period and look forward to welcoming many more recruits in the very near future.”

The team has been working remotely since March and we’re currently in the process of putting measures in place to ensure a safe return to our Newcastle city centre office. In the meantime we’re keeping in touch via Google Meet and holding weekly Friday quizzes.

We’re always on the lookout for new talent, so if you think you’d be a good fit for the team then check out our Careers page for current vacancies and an insight into life at Venture Stream.
