Best fashion Shopify stores
Allbirds
Founded by a footballer and an engineer, Allbirds is a footwear brand that puts sustainability and comfort first. With an annual turnover of $254+ million, the Allbird website is currently one of the most successful Shopify stores around, so what can we learn from them?
The simplicity and minimalism of the product is reflected in the website’s design, creating a cohesive experience from start to finish. Displaying sustainability info on every product page, like the carbon footprint of a pair of trainers, is a nice touch and backs up the brand’s claims that they prioritise the planet.

Oh Polly
The Oh Polly Shopify Plus store is everything a fashion ecommerce website should be. A well-organised menu and category structure, striking imagery and the inclusion of user generated content makes it a dream to navigate. Product pages utilise customer reviews and feedback on the sizing of each garment, achieved with integrations from the Shopify app store. They recently added the option to rent a selection of their most popular products – all customers have to do is enter their size, delivery and return dates then check out as normal.

Triangl
The Triangl website is a standout example of minimalist design combined with high-impact visuals, perfectly capturing the essence of the brand’s premium swimwear. The site features large, vibrant images that showcase products in a beach-ready context, making it easy for customers to imagine themselves in the products. Navigation is streamlined, with a simple menu and a focus on product categories, allowing for quick and effortless browsing. The product pages are clean and informative, with clear sizing guides and multiple high-resolution images.

Goodfair
Goodfair was founded to give clothing headed to landfills a second chance. But what makes Goodfair different is that they don’t list individual items. Customers can buy bundles of vintage sweatshirts, t-shirts and more. This process saves the company and the customer time and money, while helping to combat the culture of fast fashion and promote fashion circularity. This Shopify store is a great example of how ecommerce can change the way we purchase pre-loved items.

Best sports Shopify stores
Yogamatters
Winner of a Global Ecommerce Award, we built the Yogamatters website on Shopify Plus when it became apparent that their Magento 1.9 site was struggling to keep up with demand. The Yogamatters site features a clean design aesthetic, custom product page templates that allow for different products being showcased in different ways and the option for customers to donate to the brand’s chosen charities at the checkout. Plus automated, personalised product recommendations enhance user engagement and provide a tailored shopping experience.

Gymshark
Perhaps one of the most well-known brands on Shopify, Gymshark’s online store is an excellent example of a sleek, modern design combined with powerful functionality. The homepage features high-energy videos and images that resonate with their fitness-focused audience. Their site also offers an integrated size guide and personalised recommendations.

Start Fitness
We worked with Start Fitness to deliver a user-friendly shopping experience tailored to all types of fitness enthusiasts. With a large product offering, the design of the site’s main navigation was key, and the result is an expansive mega menu that allows users to easily browse all of the collections and brands on offer across all devices. Product page design incorporates price match functionality for certain products, increasing the likelihood of conversion for high-ticket items, as well as the ability to contact customer service with product questions without leaving the page.

Best beauty and wellness Shopify stores
Lemme
Kourtney Kardashian’s supplement brand showcases playful and vibrant design that aligns perfectly with the brand’s product packaging. The site uses bright colours, bold graphics and engaging animations that bring a sense of fun and energy to its pages. Product pages are well utilised with clear descriptions, benefits and educational content, as well as customer reviews to build trust and add value, which is so important in the health and wellness sector.

Hogies Online
We’ve worked with Hogies for a number of years, and recently designed and built a Shopify website for them. Specialising in discounted beauty products, the Hogies website offers a simple layout that makes it easy to browse through the wide range of categories on offer, which span fragrances to fashion. The site highlights the best discounts and special offers, immediately attracting bargain-conscious shoppers, as well as the ability to show damaged products alongside brand new items. The accelerated checkout boosts conversion rates by offering a range of mobile payment options including Apple Pay and GPay.

Best food and drink Shopify stores
Fly By Jing
Fly By Jing was founded to challenge and change perceptions of Chinese food in the US. Selling sichuan sauces, hot pot starter kits and condiment bundles, the Fly By Jing Shopify store is bold and punchy, with a strong focus on storytelling and brand mission. Other nice touches include a recipe hub, membership portal and product recommendations based on what sauces or accessories pair well together.

Flourist
Flourist sells 100% traceable, freshly stone-milled flours and dried goods. What we love about this Shopify site is that it dedicates pages to telling stories about the farmers the company works with, which builds trust with potential customers and lets them connect with the brand beyond the standard ‘About Us’ page. This site is also a haven for avid bakers, with an extensive recipe hub that’s easy to browse thanks to a wide range of categories.

Relo
The Relo website perfectly demonstrates how customisable Shopify really is. Using a series of integrations, we created a bespoke bundle builder to allow for a simple shopping experience and subscription service. When customers enter product quantities, they are shown additional discounts that are available for larger order values, helping to boost AOV. Users are also able to select one time or regular subscription options with one-click.

Hexhamshire Organics
Another great example of our work with Shopify subscriptions, the Hexhamshire Organics website effectively captures the essence of organic, locally sourced products through its earthy design and custom illustrations. Navigation is simple and user-friendly, with well-organised categories that make it easy for customers to explore the range of organic produce available, which is updated with the seasons, as well as build their own fruit and veg box. The website also emphasises transparency, providing detailed product descriptions, information about farming practices, and the story behind the business, which helps build trust and a strong connection with customers.

Best pet Shopify stores
Aquacadabra
The Aquacadabra website provides a comprehensive and user-friendly shopping experience for aquarium enthusiasts. The navigation is clear and allows customers to easily explore a vast selection of aquarium, pond and reptile products and accessories. High-quality imagery and detailed product descriptions help shoppers make informed decisions, while the inclusion of customer reviews adds credibility and trust. The website also offers helpful resources, such as care guides and advice sections, which enhance the user experience by providing valuable information and answering commonly asked questions.

Forthglade
Natural dog food brand Forthglade makes finding the right food for your dog pretty simple on their Shopify site. The main navigation is well organised, allowing customers to shop by age, special diet and food type. Subscriptions are a natural fit for dog food and they make the process really easy and customisable via a ‘build a box’ feature powered by Rebuy. Customers can also create their own ‘Pet Passports’ to receive personalised product recommendations.

Best tech and accessories Shopify stores
Cowboy
It’s no secret that smart e-bikes are expensive, and a big investment for most buyers, meaning sellers really need to nail their websites in order to successfully sell them online. And that’s exactly what Cowboy is doing. Using high-quality videos and images throughout the site, the Cowboy Shopify store showcases the product from the moment you land on the homepage. The ability to book a test ride online before committing to a purchase is a smart move for items at such a high price point.

Skinnydip London
Skinnydip London really knows how to appeal to its target audience. The phone case and accessories brand uses colourful, youthful designs on its Shopify store, which is packed with trendy visuals and fun animations. The site also has an excellent product recommendation system that keeps shoppers engaged. What really stands out about this store, however, is that design is often updated to match the brand’s latest collaboration, which brings a sense of fun and keeps things fresh. Skinnydip recently launched a Pokemon collection, and along with it a feature that allows users to shop products by their Pokemon type, which is so much more engaging than simply dropping products into a new collection page.

Best furniture and homeware Shopify stores
Gingerlily
In 2021, we worked with luxury bedding brand Gingerlily on a new Shopify website and migration. We set out to recreate the luxury buying experience online to appeal to the brand’s discerning customer base, and achieved this via custom product page templates that showcase every luxurious detail of the item. The Gingerlily website is a good example of how Shopify can be used to sell across multiple countries, with one storefront for the UK and another for the US with separate merchandising, increasing the chances of conversion in each territory.

Funky Chunky Furniture
In 2022, we launched a new Shopify website for handmade furniture brand Funky Chunky Furniture. Intelligent inventory management is integral to the success of many furniture brands, and Funky Chunky is no different. Many of Funky Chunky’s products have numerous variations (length, colour, material etc.), so we created an innovative way to manage inventory and automate much of the management process via a Linnworks integration, creating a better experience for both the customer and the Funky Chunky Furniture team.

Best baby and childrenswear Shopify stores
Direct4Baby
Direct4Baby has successfully outperformed big-name competitors by investing in their Shopify store. Catering to the needs of parents and caregivers, the D4B site’s layout makes it easy for users to navigate through a wide range of baby products, from prams to car seats. The website highlights key promotions and bestsellers on the homepage, making it easy for shoppers to find trending items, popular brands and great deals. With its responsive design and user-friendly interface, Direct4Baby provides a seamless and convenient shopping experience for parents, ensuring they find exactly what they need for their little ones.

Users can effortlessly browse through a carefully curated selection of toys, decor, and furniture. Crisp imagery and detailed product descriptions enhance the shopping experience, providing a clear sense of the items’ quality and design. The website also emphasises sustainability and ethical sourcing, which is communicated through thoughtful content and a dedicated section for eco-friendly products.
